“SPIDER-POCALYPSE”, is a comic I developed for a Digital Media final project. It is a comedic and ironic parody on Spiderman. My main character is a human who, like Peter Parker, gets bit by a special spider, however instead of getting the powers of Spiderman, he turns into a spider himself. For this I chose to hop back in forth between different elements of realism and comic style; similar to what is done in popular cartoon shows like SpongeBob.

This was a short comedy film I developed. We were tasked with presenting a unique book report to the class on John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success book. Since it was during covid and we couldn’t do it in person, I had the idea of developing a short film. I wrote the script, acted, edited and directed it. My friends, who weren’t in the class, helped act and record. My professor, Scott Buckstein, loved the idea so much he still uses it as an example for his classes every semester.

This was a short animated film I developed for my Digital Video Fundamentals class for my Digital Media Minor. For this project I had to use themes from an old fable and carry over the moral of the story into my own unique story. I chose the fable, “The Eagle and the Arrow,” with the moral being, “We often give our enemies the means for our own destruction.”
